Responsibilities

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. Delivering the right care at the right time in the right setting is the core mission of a critical access hospital. We are committed to improve the quality of care we deliver every day. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS.

Position Summary: Manages physician office. Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel. Performs the admission/discharge process, manages and maintains patient records, scheduling and clerical aspects of the office. Maintains and updates EMR charts with accuracy. Effectively communicates with internal and external sources to promote professionalism and efficiency in the practice. Manages clinic schedule, hours of operation and assures effective clinical operations.


Qualifications

Associates degree required. Preferably in business or healthcare related.

Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare environment preferred; Some management/supervisory experience preferred

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and general office equipment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal relationship skills, along with strong customer service skills. Must be able to handle detailed work accurately and rapidly. Knowledge of Medicare and other insurance plans as relating to patient and physician services. Evidence of motivation, self-direction and initiative in customer service activities.
