SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating patient care for Workers Comp. and Occupational Medicine patients, registration, and referrals. Complete work statuses, PR2's and send to employers/adjusters. Complete and submit Request for Authorization to adjusters and Utilization review. Follow up on pending requests for authorization. Work with the Business Office on various Work Comp patient billing questions. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. HOURS: Monday - Friday; 8:30a - 5:30p Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: None. Initiates Occupational Medicine process set forth by workers comp guidelines and follow 3. Schedule new and established patients according to the approved Clinic and Workers' Comp 4. Verify workers comp patient information with employer/insurance carrier following patient 5. Certified- Performs and completes walk- in Pre-employment Urine Drug Screen, Alcohol 8. Take messages route for office staff and providers as requested and when appropriate and 10. Respond to emails/fax requests from employers, attorneys, and insurance carrier as per 11. File documents according to guidelines. 12. Respond and send correspondence via email and fax to employers, insurance carriers and 14. Coordinates transportation for new injury as per employer profile. 15. Travels to other Occ Med clinics to help cover when needed.
