Exciting Opportunity: Senior Sales Program Analyst, MDF

As a Senior Sales Program Analyst, MDF, you'll play a critical role in optimizing and maintaining the integrity of our Market Development Funds (MDF) system. You'll lead the charge in providing ongoing reports and in-depth analysis of MDF usage, delivering strategic insights that empower key stakeholders.

Utilizing PowerBI, you'll create dynamic and impactful reports that enhance decision-making and drive alignment across departments. Your expertise will be essential in developing, implementing, and continuously refining our internal MDF reporting system to ensure it's running at its best.

In this role, you'll manage the validation of payouts, analyze program projections, and ensure compliance and integrity with MDF expenses and payments. You'll collaborate closely with the sales team, driving the efficiency and effectiveness of MDF management to elevate program success.

This position is based out of Epson America's Headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule.

Market Development Funds ("MDF") Administration, Audit, and Analysis

  • Track MDF usage to ensure sales representatives are managing their funds within budget using PowerBI reports and internal Sales Operations system.
  • Track MDF usage and manage annual expense projections for sales incentives and partner programs.
  • Identify potential breakage so funds may be reallocated if appropriate.
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of MDF policies and procedures. Update existing guidelines for MDF.
  • Review MDF Projections to verify that the projections are complete for the fiscal year. Work with supported Sales Teams to keep them timely with their MDF expenditures and payments.
  • Review and analyze current processes in place and recommend areas of improvement.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to Sales Management, Product Management, Finance, and Sales Operations to assist in analyzing the following: MDF usage, forecasted expenditures based on account forecast, expenditure changes due to account mix modifications.
  • Analyze, report, and communicate financial MDF results of different sales channels to assist in the annual budgeting process. Determine impact of changes in spending type, product line, and customer mix and the impact it may have on the overall budget.
  • Consult with sales representatives on MDF program development and execution.
  • Review volume targets to ensure consistency between actual sales and forecast.
  • Review invoices and backup for MDF payments to ensure funds are legitimate MDF expenses and are coded properly for Accounting classification.
  • Validate Sales Incentive Program data for legitimacy and process payments requests to 3rd party vendor.
  • Provide analysis and make recommendations regarding fund utilization and allocation by channel and customer.
  • Track sales rep and regional manager performance regarding MDF administration.
  • Establish ROI methodology for various promotions and develop key metrics regarding MDF.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in the development of presentations for key meetings.
  • Process payments for various programs within the MDF department.
  • Assists with providing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Department Management
  • Participate and maintain written departmental standards and procedures.
  • Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with all levels of Sales, peers, other departments, and leadership to best meet company goals and objectives.

What you will bring:

  • Requires Experience at an intermediate level (5-8 years)
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including intermediate-level functions and data manipulation
  • Experience in data visualization, with a preference for Power BI
  • Strong background in business analytics and financial analysis

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $77,683 and $113,900. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
