Job Title: Finance Director

FLSA Classification: Full-Time

Work Location: Fall River, MA a" on-site daily

Work Hours: 8 AM a" 5 PM (May vary based on business needs)

Salary: $150,000 - $215,000 (DOE)

Bonus: 20%

The Finance Lead is a senior management role responsible for providing leadership to the Finance function through effective forecasting, planning, budgeting and managing of financial resources to strengthen the health of the business and to deliver on key financial metrics. This position supervises a team of four (4) Finance professionals.

Finance Operations

  • Setting up various policies & processes ensuring adherence to GAAP & Accounting standards in day to day accounting activities.
  • Monitoring expenses & processes to ensure financial discipline & controls.
  • Regular PO approval. Expense & Payment approval.
  • Funds Management. Coordination with Treasury & Banking relationship.
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable monitoring
  • Inventory & Fixed Assets Controls
  • Working Capital overview

Business Partnering

  • Prepare Business case & evaluation for various projects & investment proposals.
  • Capital Expense proposal evaluation & approval.
  • Work with HO-Finance Team on Capex approvals.
  • Support Product costing & COGs monitoring
  • Lease negotiation with Property managers & landlord.
  • coordination with Local authorities for Tax & other benefits

Budgeting & Budgetary Controls

  • Preparing OPEX & CAPEX Budget.
  • Prepare, review & report aBudget Vs Actuala to ensure appropriate Budgetary controls.
  • Expense / GL review & cost control of InvaGen Operations.
  • Review various service & supply agreements / renewals.
  • Business case building & evaluation for various projects & business proposals.

Corporate Governance & Secretarial Practices

  • Performing Secretarial practices in the capacity of Company Secretary in coordination with Corporate CS team
  • Coordinating with Corporate Secretariat team for Conducting Board meetings & ensuring other related compliances.
  • Discharging various duties & coordination as designated Corporate Officer of Invagen Pharmaceuticals Inc.
  • Ensuring corporate governance practices to strengthen Internal controls.
  • Ensuring appropriate approvals from Board & other appropriate levels of management.
  • DOA implementation & monitoring for appropriate adherence.
  • Internal & Statutory Audits coordination & query response

Costing review & Cost Control

  • Overview Periodic Product cost revision & Support with appropriate data mining
  • Ensure proper absorption rates & recipe updated in system.
  • Support new product costing & margin evaluation.
  • Accountability Cluster 6: New Projects coordination & Finance Partnering
  • Providing Support on new project evaluation
  • Capital Budgeting for potential project investments
  • Coordination with various stakeholders for OPEX & CAPEX budgeting of projects.
  • Alignment with NA CXOs on Business case & Budget approvals

Exelan Finance Business Partnering

  • Periodic closing & Financial reports
  • Financial Statement preparation & Audit Support for Exelan Inc.
  • Overview Accounts Payable & Funds planning for Exelan Pharmaceuticals Inc.
  • Support evaluation of BD/ILD transaction, new product costing & margin evaluation
  • Aligning priorities and driving excellence across diverse sites.
  • Influencing key stakeholders with diverse viewpoints to align with the key priorities for the function.
  • Ensuring smooth execution of multiple interventions in a timely manner.
  • Internal Interactions
  • Cross functional teams a" providing support on projects that require a finance perspective.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Team a" organize funding.
  • Information Technology (IT) Team - Discussions around system automation as needed.
  • Legal a" providing support during contracting.
  • Human Resources (HR) Team a" Partner to meet talent requirements (hiring, development, performance management, etc.).

Certifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountants).

Experience:

  • Min 10 years of experience in Finance function with minimum 5 years in Finance leadership role at a manufacturing site.
  • Minimum of three (3) years directly managing/supervising teams.
  • Current work experience within a global pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, preferably in generic pharma.
  • Current experience in the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) organization.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language for purposes of business communications, workplace safety, regulatory compliances, and other organizational activities and matters.
  • Working knowledge and user proficiency of SAP modules required.

Technical

  • Strong Analytical Skills.
  • Exposure to Finance controllership & Corporate Governance. Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS framework, AS & taxation rules & regulations (Both India & US).
  • Good in interpretation of legal terms. Exposure to Legal & Contract terminologies.
  • Good presentation & Communication skills.
