The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and secure operation of the Command Center at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. This is accomplished by monitoring venue security through CCTV, overseeing access control for deliveries and personnel, and maintaining detailed records of event activities. The role also involves providing customer service by answering inquiries in person and via telephone, assisting patrons with facility information, and coordinating with Guest Services on lost and found recovery. Additionally, this position supports event logistics by managing equipment reservations, issuing access credentials, and assisting other departments as needed. This position may provide directions to other employees.

Essential Functions
-

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Ensures the safety of the venue by monitoring CCTV, directing trucks to appropriate dock spaces, responding to building traffic radio, and reporting building alarms or irregularities to maintenance.
- Manages access control by accepting and signing for deliveries, notifying appropriate personnel, maintaining key and badge issuance agreements, assigning building keys, and creating/programming badge door access.
- Ensures proper documentation by recording activity in the Command Radio Log, maintaining and updating records (radio calls, lost and found, event activity log, guest comment log), and completing the Event Closing checklist.
- Provides customer service by answering guest inquiries in person and by phone, assisting with lost and found recovery, and ensuring patrons follow facility rules and regulations.
- Oversees event logistics by managing and tracking loading dock deliveries, issuing equipment (forklift, city truck, scissor lift), and assisting other departments with event details and irregularities.
- Supports Command Center operations by training, coaching, and providing feedback to other Command Center Leads, modifying work schedules as needed, and ensuring daily work activities are properly coordinated.
- Maintains building security by unlocking and locking doors, monitoring patron, staff, and third-party activity, and ensuring the building is cleared and secured after events.
- Documents and reports all shift-related issues, observations, and critical information in a timely and accurate manner.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Direct Supervision: Work is normally reviewed in progress and upon completion of each assignment to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformance to established standards; autonomy is granted at the task level; work is subject to both general and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:
- High School diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of relevant work experience
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Certification and Other Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Work Schedule
This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule that includes working evenings, nights, weekends and some holidays.
Overall Physical Strength Demands
- Sedentary - Exerting up to 25 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently.
- Standard office environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Ability to walk, lift, carry, push/pull as needed.
