Job Title: Water Tanker Driver - Landfill Operations-Dunn Landfill-Rensselaer, NY

Pay for this role is $21-$23/hr

Job Description:

We are looking for a responsible and skilled Water Tanker Driver to join our team at a local landfill. The Water Tanker Driver will be responsible for safely operating a water tanker truck to transport water for various landfill operations, including dust control and maintenance. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a water tanker truck to transport and distribute water for dust control and other operational needs at the landfill.
• Perform daily inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Ensure proper loading, unloading, and distribution of water in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate records of water usage and deliveries.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear and ensuring proper vehicle operation.
• Communicate with landfill staff to ensure timely water deliveries and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a water tanker truck is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to water transport and landfill operations.
• Ability to perform manual tasks and handle physically demanding duties.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

What we need from you:

• 2+ years' experience running heavy equipment
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
