Overview

TRC Companies, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join TRC as Director - EHS&S Performance Excellence. This is a senior management consultant account development position focused on leading existing and new account growth for strategic advisory and digital service offerings as part of the Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability practice.

The Director, EHS&S Performance Excellence will report to the VP, EHS&S Performance Excellence and will work closely with other senior leaders, account leaders and technical staff to define, sell, and execute consulting services for the broader EHS&S practice with a focus on client performance improvement and strategic digital advisory services. As a Director you will be directly engaged in the team-pursuit of sales, proposal development, client sponsor engagement, project oversight and execution. As a senior seller/do'er you will be expected to engage in professional thought leadership and brand promotion communications via written articles, presentations, panel discussions, blogs, and/or social media posts that highlight TRC's expertise within the EHS&S service offering.


Responsibilities

The Director will support the growth/enhancement of TRC's capabilities for sales and delivery of EHS&S strategic advisory and digital service areas, including:

  • Support marketing, branding, business development, management and oversight of national/global offerings related to EHS&S strategic and digital advisory services;
  • Developing project work plans, strategy, and budgets;
  • Managing client relationships while balancing multiple projects and quality deliverables;
  • As program director and client senior advisor will lead client engagements and project teams in the evaluation of EHS&S programs and digital enablement maturity assessments in support of client multi-year roadmap development objectives;
  • As program lead and client senior advisor it is expected that you will build and develop trusted relationships overseeing planning and execution of digital EHS&S strategy planning, market evaluation and software selection and implementation services;
  • While strategic advisory engagements are often tip-of-the-spear engagements it is expected that as you become familiar with specific client needs and objectives you will partner with TRC subject matter experts and service leads to usher in follow-on opportunities across services lines as appropriate;
  • Where follow-on services lead to digital/technology deployments it is expected that you will support oversight and delivery helping teams ensure client satisfaction is achieved and expand TRC's referenceable customer base;
  • Supporting engagement and relationship building with third party TRC software / technology partners in the planning, delivery and expansion of pipeline and go to market opportunities;
  • Researching and staying abreast of market trends/insights and sharing / communicating your analyses, findings, and insights to TRC teams and clients;
  • Support hiring, mentoring and coaching of additional staff in client engagement activities from pre-sales through project execution and retention as referenceable customers to further expand TRC's capacity and increased value in the market for providing consulting/advisory services
  • Proactively lead internal cross practice collaboration activities in pursuit of new or existing client outreach via engagement with TRC senior leaders, account leads, project managers etc. to help educate and cross sell - EHS&S strategic service offerings

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in related consulting or industry roles performing and managing projects focused on EHS&S compliance, risk management, program maturity and performance and associated digital transformation services
  • Strong business acumen and professional attributes with a commitment to demonstrating and upholding TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Technology or related degree from an accredited university. MBA, Masters degree and/or other professional qualifications preferred (e.g. CIH, CSP, CHMM)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading and directing teams, with strong interpersonal skills and commitment to engaging and developing cross functional teams
  • Strong personal initiative for continued learning.
  • Proven success in consulting advisory sales and client/account management.
  • Experience working with commercial EMIS systems as a business owner, system user and/or administrator in a commercial or industrial setting a plus
  • National recognition/reputation a plus
  • Flexibility to travel for sales, marketing, client and other company engagements
  • TRC's key clients operate in the power generation, utility, industrial/commercial, mining, manufacturing, transportation, pharmaceutical, chemical, and oil / gas market sectors. Established client relationships managed by the candidate and experience in these market sectors is a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $160,014.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
