Itron is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner Scheduler to join our Maintenance team at our West Union facility. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and scheduling preventive maintenance, repairs, and other maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. You will work closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks and minimize downtime.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule based on manufacturer recommendations, equipment usage, and historical data.
- Task Scheduling: Coordinate with Production teams to schedule repairs, routine maintenance, inspections, and equipment downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Resource Management: Ensure that necessary parts, materials, and tools are available for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, completed tasks, and inventory levels. Generate regular reports on work progress, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers to schedule third-party services, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contractual agreements.
- Work Order Management: Oversee the creation, tracking, and close-out of work orders, ensuring they are completed within established timelines.
- Optimization: Analyze and identify opportunities to optimize maintenance schedules, improve equipment uptime, and enhance overall maintenance processes.
- Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in the evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance scheduling or planning, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS), equipment diagnostics, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify practical solutions.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred. Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Certifications in maintenance management (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP) are a plus.
