FlexStaff is seeking a Nuclear Radiologic Technologist, Level II to work for one of our external clients, the largest city health system for their location in Queens, NY.

Requirements: Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiologic Technologist, specializing in Nuclear Medicine issued by the NYSDOH.

This is a permanent, full-time job. Schedule: 8:30a -4:30p, 8 hour shifts, no weekends, no rotations.

In this role you would be performing advanced nuclear medicine work under direction and servicing as a resource to appropriate staff in the performance of nuclear medicine procedures.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:



  • Patient Preparation: Explain procedures and prepare patients for nuclear imaging.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor for reactions.
  • Imaging Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment.
  • Image Acquisition: Perform imaging procedures and adjust for optimal quality.
  • Quality Control: Conduct routine checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze images and prepare preliminary reports for physicians.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare teams to discuss findings and assist in diagnoses.
  • Radiation Safety: Implement safety measures and educate patients on radiation protocols.
  • Training: Mentor junior staff and supervise entry-level technicians.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies during procedures.
  • Provides direction to appropriate technical staff and guides staff in the performance of nuclear medicine techniques; serves as a resource in various aspects of advanced nuclear medicine practice.
  • Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings.
  • Conducts research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of nuclear medicine services.
