Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Manager will oversee the full-cycle recruiting process, ensuring that CenterPoint Energy attracts, hires, and retains top-tier talent to meet our business needs. This role will lead a team of recruiters, drive process improvements, enhance stakeholder partnerships, and align talent acquisition strategies with company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment operations, leadership, data-driven decision-making, and employer branding.

Essential Functions

Leadership & Team Development



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters to achieve hiring goals and foster professional growth.
  • Provide coaching, training, and best practices to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the recruiting team.



Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution



  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract top talent in alignment with CenterPoint Energy's business needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to forecast workforce needs and build proactive talent pipelines.
  • Optimize full-cycle recruitment processes to improve time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and candidate experience.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to measure recruiting performance and enhance decision-making.



Process Improvement & Innovation



  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline recruiting operations, enhance efficiency, and leverage technology.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employer branding and, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) hiring strategies.
  • Utilize market intelligence and talent analytics to inform recruitment strategies and workforce planning.



Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Serve as a strategic partner to HR, hiring managers, and business leaders to align recruiting efforts with company objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to provide consultative guidance on hiring best practices.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, and other business units to ensure alignment on workforce planning and budgeting.


Education Description

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team of recruiters while managing multiple hiring priorities.
  • Strong understanding of recruiting metrics, data analytics, and process optimization.
  • Experience in employer branding, DE&I strategic hiring initiatives, and talent pipeline development.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR technology, and recruitment marketing.
