Location: Oak Ridge, TN What You'll Do
Performs duties in support of the Personnel Security Department to include; badging, Human Reliability Program, DOE access authorization/security clearance processing requirements, records maintenance, visitor control responsibilities, and general Personnel Security responsibilities as required. May train and mentor less experienced personnel. Performs process troubleshooting, interacts with customers, management, and peer employees assuring excellent customer service; performs quality check of personnel security forms, Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), access control, Argus enrollment, badging, clearance investigation/reinvestigation, and support tasks related to DOE Order 472.2, 470.48, and 473.3A, 142.3A and 10 CFR Part 712. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance. Uses MS Office and government and CNS databases. Assists teammates and customers and protects sensitive or personal privacy information from unauthorized disclosure. Operates access control equipment such as cameras, badging machines, printers, and fingerprint scanners. Works safely and securely in an environment with constant interruption or redirection. Displays high standard of attention to detail and focus on procedural requirements. Gathers data from multiple sources to grant or deny access based on a review of information and documents. Manages time and tasks without constant direct supervision. Provides highest levels of customer service in a very busy, public environment. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
This position may be categorized as a "designated position" identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination. CNS is a drug-free workplace.
