Posting End Date: March 23, 2025Employee Type: Students (Fixed Term)-Full timeUnion/Non: This is a non-union positionEnbridge Gas Ohio, a natural gas distribution company serving 1.2 million customers in the state of Ohio, is currently looking for an Engineering intern to work at its Storage Operations office in North Canton, Ohio! The Storage Operations team is responsible for operating 800 storage wells, 225 miles of storage pipeline, and several withdrawal stations. The incumbent will work with management, Storage engineers and field personnel; performing various tasks related to data analysis, well design, and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience using engineering methods, calculations, standard procedures, and industry practices. The Engineering intern will work directly with our Storage engineers and other partners to perform tasks and analysis related to well assets and Storage pipelines. This includes research and updates to well records, drafting pipeline valve procedures, and process development. The intern will gain exposure to project planning, construction, and pipeline operations. What You Will Do:
Candidates must be enrolled in a 4 year ABET-accredited Engineering program in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum or Industrial Engineering with an expected graduation date of June 2026. 3.0 GPA or higher is required. Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, reads fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both field & office) include but are not limited to:Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
