Azure Data Warehouse Engineer Category: Information Technology Employment Type: Contract To Hire Reference: BH-379349-1 Azure Data Warehouse Engineer Contract to Hire (W2 ONLY - NO C-C) Irving, TX (Hybrid) Data Warehouse Optimization: Evaluate and enhance the performance of existing data warehouse solutions by applying techniques such as partitioning, indexing, and query optimization. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current data systems and work on solutions to improve performance and scalability. Data Processing & Integration: Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages to process and integrate data efficiently. Work with ETL processes, ensuring data flows smoothly through the system. Azure Data Services: Leverage Microsoft Azure tools like Azure Synapse Analytics to enhance and manage data movement. Work with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating data workflows and transformations. Utilize Azure-based data lakes to ensure seamless integration with data warehousing solutions. Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and optimize data solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, data quality, and ETL pipelines. Support production deployments or emergencies outside of normal business hours Documentation & Best Practices: Document existing data processes, optimizations, and any changes made to improve system performance. Adhere to best practices for data warehousing, ETL development, and Azure solutions. Advise on potential system changes and enhancements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field 5+ years of experience with data warehousing, including performance optimization techniques and processing data cubes through SSIS packages Experience with SQL Server 2019, including writing stored procedures, indexes, query optimization, and execution plan analysis Experience working with Microsoft Azure and data lakes Proficiency in version control using Git, with a solid understanding of branching strategies Experience using CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines to deploy database solutions Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with accountants/system users, team members, and stakeholders Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills Ability to work and communicate independently Estimated Min Rate: $120,000 Estimated Max Rate: $130,000 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
