Description

Position Summary:

As a Regional Demand manager for North & South America regions, you are acting as the interface between local teams (7 countries and about 20 distributors) and corporate functions for Demand & Supply topics, you are responsible for the quality of the forecast inside your regions and accountable for the excellence of the process used to elaborate it. You actively contribute to the transformation and optimization of these processes by defining & deploying best practices through continuous improvement or in project mode.

Your levers are mainly in managing a team of 2 or 3 regional analysts to support operations of product lifecycle and allocation management across the regions, leading by influence a network of 10 local demand planners in the region, collaborating with your global peers from corporate Supply Chain and partnering with Marketing and Finance functions.

Primary Duties:

  1. Gather forecasts from the different countries and distributors and challenge them in their forecast accuracy, comparing regional forecast with aggregated forecast, making sure critical gaps or trends are properly qualified in terms of Risks & Opportunities.
  2. Perform regional market risk assessment and lead regional demand reviews with Commercial and Finance regional leadership; highlighting risks and needs for decision/action
  3. Provides input for mid/long range plan & strategy building sharing the regional demand signals
  4. Ensures the training and support of local teams on Demand Management processes, tools and guidelines for local demand review
  5. Contribute to the global project redesigning the S&OP process to escalate to IBP excellence. Maintain the S&OP maturity grid for the countries of your region and support them in defining and deploying their improvement plan.
  6. Steer SC analysts' in-depth analysis to drive continuous improvement on Key Performance Indicators (forecast accuracy, scrap risks, service level/on time in full...); manage day-to-day and continuously improves supply chain operations to optimize performance in your area
  7. Lead the team, manage and monitors team's workload and performance; define objectives, methods and skills needed, develops staff's Supply chain skills and competencies, in compliance with all applicable regulations and quality procedures
  8. Act as a lead for the region in case of Demand / Supply event of crisis: ensure information sharing, define action and assign roles & responsibilities, cascade corporate strategy into regional and local demand practices.

Training, Education & Experience:

  • Master's degree with specialization in Supply Chain / Demand Planning preferred. Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years specific experience in the domains of Demand Planning, S&OP and/or IBP required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain with demonstrated specific experience in Demand Planning, S&OP or IBP.
  • Expert in forecasting, strong analytical ability
  • Ability to analyze and communicate risks, KPIs and opportunities to the business

  • Effective leader with ability to influence and get results from functional teams

Physical Requirements:

Potential domestic and international travel - 5%

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of 1-3 employees
