JOB SUMMARY

The Cash Applications Specialist works under general supervision and has significant impact on financial reporting. An incumbent applies basic skills and knowledge to complete work that is not complex in nature, with more complex issues referred to a higher level. This position properly records payment, researches and obtains details from the client and/or Customer Finance Rep. regarding cash posting and receipts.

DUTIES



  1. Process assigned daily cash receipt batches in the Accounting Billing system timely and accurately.
  2. Review the Receipts/Billing mailbox to ensure that all items are processed timely.
  3. Enter vital payment information into Bank System as established in guidelines adhering to MultiPlan internal controls.
  4. Use all available resources to identify proper payment application and to resolve payment discrepancies. Maintain all related support documentation.
  5. Reconcile assigned deposits by both batch and date to the Accounting and Bank systems.
  6. Participate as needed in special projects or initiatives.
  7. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  8. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  9. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is 40k-45k annually ($19.23-$21.63). Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
