THE JOB:

The Assistant Security Manager plays a crucial role in supervising shift employees, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining safety for both guests and staff, all while adhering to company policies and relevant regulations. This position involves performance oversight, shift scheduling, and fostering a secure environment, contributing to the overall effectiveness and compliance of security operations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• In overseeing security officers and department operations. You will focus on the effective management of personnel by conducting interviews, hiring qualified candidates, and creating efficient employee schedules tailored to meet operational demands. You will implement approved procedures while providing comprehensive training and regular evaluations to ensure officers meet performance standards.
• Assist management with onsite investigations; coordinate and supervise onsite investigations as deemed necessary
• Respond to guest and employee emergencies and reported threats, document incidents and ensure proper escalation for reporting and resolution purposes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Ability to maintain professionalism and master leadership abilities
• Knowledge and understanding of resort, casino and/or hospitality investigation
• Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
• Has high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Has 2+ years of prior relevant experience and direct security experience in a high-end resort/casino environment or law enforcement and/or military experience, with previous supervisory experience or in a team leader capacity
• Can work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age
