At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone. Hello Students! We are actively seeking LG Summer Interns to join our Home Entertainment Team. We are currently looking for an Intern to join the Product Planning Team. LG's 2025 Summer Internship Program will be a 9-week internship from June 2 through August 1, 2025. The internship will be based in office at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $25.00. The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience. The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end. The project is expected to focus on developing a new measurement metric to accurately distinguish the luminance reproduction of accuracy of OLED and LCD panels, particularly predicting the blooming effect in LCDs. Using a high-grade camera or imaging colorimeter, the metric will enable per-pixel error analysis. However, challenges such as the limited resolution of measurement devices and the presence of Moire patterns require multiple correction steps to refine the image measurements. As a Research Scientist Intern, you will contribute to Spatial Consistency project by developing a measurement procedure to assess how accurately a display reproduces an input image at a per-pixel level without introducing distortion. Responsibilities include conducting display measurements using an imaging colorimeter and analyzing the results by comparing them with predictions from a colorimetrical calibrated camera.
