The PSG organization has built-in data governance and discovery for the AI Data Cloud, including powerful compliance, security, privacy, discovery and collaboration capabilities that help data governors, stewards, CISO's/security admins and data teams both protect and unlock the value of sensitive data, apps and models.

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER IN PSG AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Drive projects from idea formulation, to design, and to implementation.

  • Design and develop solutions for secure data sharing and access delegation in a globally distributed service.

  • Solve real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem solving skills

  • Make trade-offs to design the best system for Snowflake customers' needs

  • Collaborate with engineers across teams to help deliver cross-functional initiatives

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Between 1-6 years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large scale cloud services

  • Fluency in Java required

  • Experience with database fundamentals including working with SQL

  • Systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency, etc

  • Some experience in database security or building data governance systems is a bonus

  • BS in Computer Science or a related field or MS

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $157,000 - $230,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
