Overview
Full Time / 40 hours per week (M-F, 7:30-4) Missouri Cancer Associates is a multi-specialty practice including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology and urology. We have 22 providers that service ten Missouri communities. Our main office is in Columbia. Through state-of-the-art medical technology, highly experienced physicians and nurse practitioners and quality patient care, Missouri Cancer Associates has become the premier Cancer Treatment Center in Mid-Missouri. In August 2022 we celebrated our 40th year of taking care of patients! We are looking for a friendly and hard-working Scheduler / Check in staff to join our team. Candidates should have an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive work ethic, and have a track record of working well with others in a team environment. We prefer applicants who have some customer service experience, but we are willing to train the right person. This position is located at 1705 E Broadway, Columbia, MO. Missouri Cancer Associates is affiliated with Urology Associates of Central Missouri and the US Oncology Network! SCOPE: SCOPE: Under general supervision, is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical staff. May include outside scheduling and/or surgical scheduling responsibilities. Provide coverage at the check in desk as needed. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Responsibilities
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required. Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
