Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Developer, to join a team of IT professionals in a permanent role. If you meet our background requirements and skills and are seeking an opportunity with these skills and expertise, here is the ideal opportunity for you!

As a Sr. Mainframe Developer, you will be member of a team that handles the entire development process of the application, working across multiple functions. While each team member has their own set of abilities, they are also encouraged to learn and chip in to areas outside of their primary expertise.

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

• Recommends and implements solutions that address sophisticated business challenges, improving the ability to make data-driven decisions and improving operational efficiency
• Prepares architecture and design documents for sophisticated Banking applications keeping in mind design constraints that translate to coding
• Develops secure and high-quality code that runs in sync with other highly efficient sub systems
• Think out-of-the-box proactively and be creative by challenging conventional approaches and give towards operational efficiency
• Solves problems, works with Product Teams and other partners to understand sophisticated Requirements and be able to break them down to design/development.

• Candidate should have expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM & DB2.
• Expertise in CICS Programming including knowledge of CICS Screen Programming.
• Experience coding in MQ Series & IMS DB is helpful
• Experience in Banking Compliance and Regulatory Platform is helpful.
• Must have hands-on coding development experience.
• Experience with version control. Ability to communicate optimally with team members and clients and excellent problem-solving skills.

The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
