Job Description

Dewberry has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Natural Resources Department Manager in our Northeast Region (PA, NJ, NY, and MA). The selected person will be responsible for overseeing a team performing ecological studies including but not limited to wetland and waterway delineation, permitting, mitigation design and monitoring, threatened and endangered species surveys, habitat assessments, tree stand delineations, stream restoration monitoring. The selected individual will contribute to business development to build backlog and be responsible for managing the team's workload.

Responsibilities

    Develops department staffing projections
  • Reviews deliverables, develops projects scope, budgets, schedules
  • Performs personnel assignments and personnel reviews
  • Provides Project Managers with the needed staff resources
  • Reports on departmental status to Business Unit Manager.
  • Provides QA/QC oversight and coordination.
  • Reviews and makes staffing adjustments to insure adherence to schedule/scheduling work.
  • Assist in long range planning and strategic planning.
  • Must have a conspicuous active presence in various technical and professional organizations.
  • Must have experience with Federal and state regulations in PA, NJ, NY, and MA.
  • Must have permitting experience with local, state, and federal agencies in the Northeast.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS in Environmental Science-Ecology with 15-20 years of team and project management experience
  • Professional Certifications (PWS, CWB)
  • Experience writing proposals, making presentations, and participating in professional organizations
  • Occasional travel is required
