Hello Students!

We are actively seeking a JD candidate 2025 LG Summer Legal Intern to join our Legal & Compliance Strategy Team.

Our Legal & Compliance Strategy Internship is a 9-week program from June 2nd through August 1st .

The internship will be based in the office (Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM) at the LG North America Innovation Campus in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and pay an hourly rate of $30.00.

The LG Internship Program is built on the philosophy of ensuring that each intern is given the opportunity to perform robust and meaningful work while gaining real-world experience.
The program will also include each intern working on an individual strategic project for the department and delivering a presentation at the program's end.

The Legal Intern will provide support for different projects for the teams in the Legal and Compliance Division - in different areas ranging from complex litigation, compliance, and legal strategy with the goal of increasing efficiency and effectiveness of legal support.

Responsibilities



  • Legal research in various topics of laws and regulations relevant for the company
  • Review agreements and other legal documents
  • Communicate with the HQ legal team and other business units in the US as well as in Korea
  • Draft internal memoranda and management presentation/reports



Qualifications



  • Enrollment in a JD degree program at an accredited College/University and going into their second or third year of law school
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to work well in a cross functional/cross cultural environment
  • Ability to utilize strong analytical skills and stay well organized in order to manage data and handle multi-tasking
  • High level of functionality with data management, analysis, and tools
  • Keen interest in the in-house practice of law and understands that in-house means you need to know the business as well as the law
  • Drive to learn and assist the Legal & Compliance group initiatives and goals


Recruiting Range
$25 - $30 USD
