Analyst, CCA Data and Operations

HealthPartners is hiring an Analyst, Comprehensive Care Advocacy Data and Operations. This position is responsible for reporting on key departmental indicators operational processes, as well as routine and ad hoc measures as requested by departmental leadership.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  1. Develops and maintains a reporting process that supports the production and distribution of both routine and ad hoc reporting of outcomes and results for: Department programs and initiatives. Department key process indicators. Concurrent review data. Patient and provider satisfaction. Staff productivity. Vendor reporting. Member eligibility verification. Annual plan goals and objectives. Regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  2. Designs and executes quantitative studies and analysis of data to support management action or decision-making.
  3. Works closely with IT and Health Informatics to coordinate and collaborate on data requests that require Health Plan data.
  4. Assures the production and distribution of well-designed reports to appropriate Comprehensive Care Advocacy staff and leadership staff on pre-defined or ad hoc schedules.
  5. Monitors, analyzes, and coordinates Comprehensive Care Advocacy reports from other areas, including IT and Health Informatics, to ensure timely and actionable data are routinely received and used.
  6. Assists with the development and implementation of appropriate departmental policies and procedures that maintain accuracy of data and efficiency of report management (in collaboration with IT, Health Informatics, or other data analysis units.)
  7. Conducts staff training on data documentation, performance and outcomes measurement requirements.
  8. Defines hardware and software requirements and capital equipment needs to support departmental accountabilities, recommends needs to management, and oversees implementation.
  9. Uses available system tools, maintains knowledge of corporate databases, and works with other analysts within HealthPartners to improve data quality and consistent reporting standards.
  10. Maintains appropriate confidentiality of information in accordance with HealthPartners corporate policies.
  11. Participates in ongoing independent study, education related professional activities, and professional affiliations to maintain knowledge in the areas of case management, information systems, data analysis and reporting, and project management.
  12. Demonstrates effective project management skills, including the use of project planning and tracking tools; development of achievable goals, objectives, and timelines; and innovative use of resources.
  13. Demonstrates responsiveness to and appreciation of constructive feedback and recommendations for personal growth and development.
  14. Willingly participates in and/or effectively leads various workgroups and projects as needed and assigned.
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent in college courses and job experience.
  • Three years experience working with complex databases to extract data, identify trends, analyze and make recommendations or decisions based on findings.
  • Three years direct experience using Microsoft Office for spreadsheets, flowcharts, and word processing.
  • Two years experience and proficiency in developing reports using SQL, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • One year experience in project management or equivalent role.
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in effectively relating to and collaboratively working with directors, managers, and/or supervisors as well as peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience in managed care, health care setting, or case management department.
  • Experience working and negotiating with external vendors.



DECISION-MAKING:

This position is responsible for developing and recommending the type, scope and general direction for data management, reporting, and project design and development. The Senior Director, or management designee, is responsible for decisions associated with department direction and long-term planning.
