Job Description Summary

Job Description

  • Serve as the primary interface between customers and AAM's program team from concept design to full manufacturing launch in accordance with PE-PDP and program launch gate deliverables..

  • Represent engineering in internal AAM Program Launch Team meetings and customer Program Development Team (PDT) meetings, to ensure milestones are met.

  • Manage action registers for internal and customer Program Development Teams (PDT), ensuring clear and accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate with sales to identify and develop opportunities that enhance AAM's profitability and customer relationships.

  • Ensure requirement changes are properly identified, documented, and addressed.

  • Negotiate requirements (agree/disagree matrices) with customers to align on project needs.

  • Support the Engineering Program Manager in creating and maintaining project plans that meet program milestones.

  • Share insights and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • 0 to 2 years' experience in automotive product design and development.

  • Knowledge of design, development, test engineering, manufacturing processes, and quality.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Suite.

Preferred

  • Mechanial Engineering degree.

  • Tier 1 or OEM experience.

  • CAE experience.
