Scottsdale, Colorado Springs, Bay Area California, Virginia and Taunton Mass locations

Advanced Systems Engineer

Positions can be worked hybrid BUT you must live within a GDMS office in one of the cities above. and have an active clearance.
**Active Secret Clearance is required**

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Senior Advanced Systems Engineer - Tracking Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying the state-of-the-art ground operational system.

  • Satellite communications knowledge
  • Ground to Satellite communication knowledge
  • Ground operations experience

Preferred Experience:

Technical Background:

  • STK/Python, CAMEO, or MATLAB analyst focus
  • SE with MBSE experience and tracking knowledge
  • SE with core skills space, tracking, MATLAB or python skills, some software ideal for backfill
  • SMART OA SE - knowledge of IRPL and modeling tracking payload, aerospace experience
  • Strong SW, cloud, modeling, and sim background with space knowledge

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Systems Engineering or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 8 years of Satellite communications experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of Ground to Satellite communication experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of Ground operations experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Agile experience.
  • STK/Python, CAMEO, or MATLAB analyst focus.
  • SE with MBSE experience and tracking knowledge.
