Genesis10 is seeking a Business Analyst for our client in the Mortgage industry. This Contract to Permanent position is located in Plano, TX. 90% remote with onsite required once every 2 months. Must live in the DFW area.

W2 Hourly Pay rate range: $45-$55 per hour; Anticipated conversion to FTE after 6 months.

Description:


  • Evaluate and implement process improvements and business transformation initiatives related to mortgage servicing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency within the servicing department.
  • Analyze and re-engineer business processes related to mortgage servicing, utilizing an understanding of business problems and solutions in the context of the servicing lifecycle, to support strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to elicit detailed business requirements using techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, process mapping, use case scenarios, and prototypes.
  • Provide SME support for business requirements definition, process design, and implementation of processes related to mortgage servicing.
  • Help determine project timelines for mortgage servicing projects.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and external vendors to meet project objectives.
  • Create and maintain project artifacts, including project plans, issue logs, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
  • Set and manage customer expectations, ensuring effective communication and clarity on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate across departments to initiate and drive new projects within mortgage servicing.
  • Track issues and formulate corrective actions to prevent future occurrences, ensuring consistent service delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Experience in SQL server and ability to create new scripts.
  • Experience in building business cases and assessing ROI for mortgage servicing projects.
  • Ability to create work plans, flow charts, use case diagrams and process flow diagrams.
  • Expertise in managing expectations while balancing project alternatives against business constraints.
  • Ability to understand business objectives in mortgage servicing and convert them into solution designs or project plans.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills for senior executives and team-level interactions.
  • Experience modeling business processes related to mortgage servicing using various tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a mortgage servicing context.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing mortgage servicing environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated strength in issue management and client relationship management.
  • Expertise in using Azure DevOps (formerly known as TFS & VSTS) to articulate requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, or related field with experience in business analysis, mortgage servicing, or strategic program management.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mortgage servicing systems (loan servicing platforms, core banking systems, etc.), with functional and technical expertise.
  • Familiarity with mortgage servicing platforms such as MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform), Client, or equivalent servicing systems.
  • Experience with integrations between servicing systems and other financial platforms.
  • Knowledge of loan servicing operations such as payment processing, escrow management, loan modifications, and default servicing.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting mortgage servicing platforms and related technologies.


W2 Status:
