What is the opportunity? The Director of US IT Risk Reporting and Stakeholder Management will be responsible spearheading the strategic communication of risk management activities within RBS US Technology. This is includes comprehensive tracking, monitoring and reporting of risk posture delivering insightful updates to senior and executive leaders, exhibiting exceptional executive communication and presence. You will also cultivate strong risk awareness culture through targeted education and communication, reinforcing adherence to the Enterprise Risk Management framework. What will you do?
- Define and develop methodologies and frameworks to track, assess, and monitor IT risks
- Assess RBC US Technology overall risk posture and ensure organizational awareness
- Champion the RBC US Technology Risk Management framework and drive education and training efforts across RBC US Technology
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the US Technology division and other relevant divisions. Develop and execute stakeholder communication plans to ensure effective dissemination of risk and confidential information
- Define appropriate measures to identify, manage, and mitigate risk. Design and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor risks and trends
- Partner closely with IT Risk business partners to provide ongoing reporting on IT risks
- Produce timely risk reports for senior and executive leadership, providing clear insights into our organization's risk posture
- Provide ongoing updates to senior and executive leaders within RBC US and external regulatory agencies to ensure visibility and transparency. Act as the primary point of contact for risk related inquiries from senior/executive stakeholders
What do you need to succeed? Must Haves
- Minimum of 10 years in risk management with a strong focus on Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Strong understanding of US Regulatory environment including reporting requirements. Prior or current financial services experience required
- Expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior and executive leadership
- Ability to articulate complex technical and risk-related concepts, clearly and concisely, to senior and executive audiences
- Ability to project confidence, credibility and authority in high-stakes meetings and interactions with senior and executive leadership
- Ability to maintain composure and poise under pressure, particularly when addressing sensitive topics. Anticipate and address potential concerns and questions
- Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, cyber security, service delivery and risk and change management processes
- Strong knowledge of IT Risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Experience in IT risk management, cyber security or related roles
- Ability to establish strategic approach for long term sustainable solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
- Bachelor's degree in CompSci, Finance or related degree. Master's degree preferred

- Certifications are a plus (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISM,CAMS CISSP)

The expected salary range for this particular position is $175K - $240K + discretionary bonus, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
