The Associate, Equity will provide critical logistical support for management and execution of activities. They will need to have exceptional organizational, project management, and program design skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a public school system, knowledge of Baltimore City and its schools.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and manages administrative functions in support of the implementation of the equity policy with particular emphasis on the equity-centered principal development initiative.
- Assists in planning, organizing, and implementing key activities, meetings, and events
- Manages administrative tasks related to the work of the Office of Equity
- Tracks expenditures of each office driven initiatives to ensure that all funds are fully spent according to the approved grant.
- Prepares executive summaries, documents, and correspondence.
- Assists with the completion of all required reports.
- Demonstrates a firm understanding of City Schools Racial Equity Policy and environmental change theory.
- Demonstrates a firm understanding of City School's strategic plans, goals, and theories of action.
- Demonstrates effectiveness in using data from multiple sources, qualitative and quantitative, to support accountability systems.
- Effectively prioritizes and responds quickly to competing demands, while effectively communicating with key relevant stakeholders.
- Approaches their role with a deep seeded sense of personal accountability for the success of City Schools' Racial Equity Policy.
- Establishes clear goals, expectations, deliverables, deadlines, and metrics for success.
- Sets clear agendas and facilitates effective cross-functional and internal and/or stakeholder meetings.
- Brings a high standard of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all professional matters.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies; follows federal laws, state laws, school board policies and the professional standards.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or institution.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise swift decision-making, grounded in sound. judgement, equity, and understanding of nuanced circumstances focused on an unwavering commitment to the diverse needs of City Schools students, families, and staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including proficiency in the use of computer applications (including Microsoft Office products), email, and mobile technologies.
