We are searching for a Full Time, Master's-prepared Group Therapist for our Rural Outpatient Program. This is a fully remote position. What Role Will You Play? Group Therapists are integral in helping to create treatment plans for patients, as well as in implementation of the behavioral aspects of the treatment plan. You are part of a trauma-informed therapeutic team providing direct care to patients who are working to reduce acute symptoms of psychosis, mania, and other mental health struggles. What Will You Get To Do? The Rural Clinical Therapist position provides essential social services to support patients in meeting their psychosocial needs, utilizing therapeutic skills to help them achieve optimal emotional health. Key responsibilities include treatment planning facilitation, psycho-social assessments, psychoeducation, short-term supportive family and one on one check ins, group therapy, and discharge planning, while linking with community resources. This role ensures fidelity in program implementation and utilizes evidence-based practices to support patients in overcoming mental health challenges. A unique aspect of this opportunity is the chance to work virtually while actively collaborating with and providing tailored support to rural communities, addressing the distinct needs and challenges faced by individuals in these areas. Qualifications What Does Fairfax Require for this Role? A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental/behavioral health field is required as well as the desire to help our patients improve their lives. You will need a current Washington State Licensure (Associate or Full). Masters Level with Agency Affiliated Counselor Licensure may be considered, as well as a willingness to obtain or current licensure in the following states: Alaska, Idaho, Oregon. A minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating groups in a hospital or psychiatric setting. A positive attitude and outlook will make you successful in this role. What experience are we looking for? * Preferred two (2) years, post-Master's experience in a psychiatric health care setting. * Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. * Direct experience managing a caseload of up to 14 clients. * Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation. * Skills and experience in group facilitation, group adaptation, and curriculum development. * Demonstrate understanding or experience working with rural communities and the unique challenges individuals in these areas face, including geographic isolation, limited access to mental health resources, and stigma surrounding mental health care. * Strong cultural competency with the ability to approach therapy in a way that is sensitive to rural cultural values, beliefs, and experiences, while effectively fostering trust and rapport in a virtual Wait!
