Position Summary:

In this position, you will support the Sales Operations Finance team and collaborate closely with the Sales organization.

The role involves providing provide oversight of customer planning processes, customer profitability, forecasting, monthly reporting, and ad-hoc customer analysis, with an emphasis on maintaining sound financial controls around trade budget spending. The position is instrumental in allocating resourcing to accounts, maintaining control of trade spend and other allowances, and evaluating overall effectiveness of trade plans.

The successful candidate must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate across multiple functions throughout the organization, to foster alignment and drive results to meet or exceed business objectives.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of period end close processes and integrity of financial forecast submissions by assisting in reporting and analysis of sales and trade allowances by customer.
  • Analyze performance and non-performance trade, including open trade liabilities and trade promotion forecast. Serve as an expert in Sales & Trade reporting and SAP posting, and be a resource for the Sales teams on effective trade event management.
  • Support customer deductions management process, including reporting and analysis
  • Support In Market Planning and Financial Review processes, taking ownership of financial templates and consolidated reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support customer target process including risk and opportunity submission and tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and expense management.
  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy of sales and trade allowances.

Summary of Experience

  • Bachelor degree required, preferably with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years of financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and financial reporting preferred.
  • Ideal candidate is results-oriented, a self-starter with strong initiative, naturally curious, able to think independently and eager to make a positive impact.
  • Advanced Excel, experience with Oracle / SAP/ OBIEE / BW preferred.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling skills (2+ years).
  • Consumer goods company/industry desired, not required.
  • Project management and process improvement experience a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • Effective and professional communication in both written and verbal forms.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Curious self-starter, shows initiative, and quickly grasps the specifics of the business.
  • Strong Business partnership skills and ability to communicate clearly to non-finance audiences.
  • Capable of managing several projects, possessing excellent time management skills, and adapting to a dynamic work environment.
  • Understanding of P&L concepts and management accounting principles.
  • Proficient in financial modeling.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong data management skills, Hyperion, OBIEE or comparable system experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
