RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Work as a team member on an instrument production line
• Assemble subassemblies and instruments based on detailed written and visual work instructions
• Safety & Quality standards MUST be followed at all times
• Must be activate participant in offering suggestions on safety improvements
• Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives and Quick Kaizens
• Handles, installs, positions, and moves materials, and manipulates parts and/or equipment
• Follow and adhere to work instructions precisely
• Duties will include assembling products in other areas of the production floor as required by business needs
• Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
• Keep work areas organized and clean

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ensure company policies and safety policies are followed
• Work shift will require early morning start and/or overtime as required. This requirement will vary depending on business requirements. Flexibility is required.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds alone, 80 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
