Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for an Education Services Support Assistant
This position provides Command Educational Services Support for 500 Navy personnel and mail and notary services to the Marine Command Security Force Battalion (MCSFBN) administrative office for approximately 1,000 military personnel.
Key Responsibilities / Actions:
- Prepare and conduct examinations.
- Safeguard and administer the Navy-Wide Advancement Examination and performance tests.
- Review records for advancement eligibility for service members (utilizing Navy Advancement Manual, Awards Manual, Evaluation Instruction, and Physical Fitness Assessment instruction).
- Maintain the Advancement Eligibility Program.
- Prepare advancement in rate and change of rating paperwork using the Navy Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center worksheet (NETPDTC 1430/3).
- Request and coordinate advancement exams (including late/make-up exams) with Personnel Support Detachment (PSD).
- Provide service members with advancement exam schedule information.
- Monitor the Navy Enlisted Advancement System website.
- Coordinate to secure an adequate testing site.
- Prepare the examination site (post signs and seating chart, ensure PA system is operational, set up tables and chairs, etc.)
- Prepare exam proctors via Proctor briefing.
- Discuss exam day agenda.
- Provide safety brief (i.e., in case of fire, or other safety emergency).
- Ensure examinations are widely publicized, e.g., Plan of the Day (POD); Plan of the Week (POW); Installation publications; and group emails to CPPAs, Commanding Officers (COs), Executive Officers (XOs), and Command Master Chiefs (CMCs).
- Provide advancement exam results to MCSFBN leadership when available; may add worksheet data, change incorrect data, attach supporting documents (when required), enter comments, route to Sailors for their input and verification, and assist in the adjudication of discrepancies with post-exam administrative comments.
- Serve in an administrative oversight role at the command that supports with data verification. This may include adding worksheet data, changing incorrect data, attaching supporting documents (when required), entering comments, routing to Sailors for their input and verification, and assisting in the adjudication of discrepancies with post-exam administrative comments.
- Create Education and Academic Worksheets (EAWs) for exam eligible Sailors (Early Promote, Limited Duty Officer candidates, etc.) for whom an EAW was not automatically generated in Naval Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS).
- Verify Professional Military Knowledge Eligibility Exam and the Professional Military Knowledge Eligibility Exam (PMKEE).
- Run the Advancement Eligibility Listing (AEL) from NSIPS and use it to verify the Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS) online Time-in-Rate (TIR) report.
- Forward current advancement eligibility list to each Command's NEAS representative for verification via secure means.
- Monitor Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS) website for current TIR eligibility lists.
- Match names on the AEL with the Exam worksheets from NSIPS. If missing or excess worksheets are identified, investigate, and resolve disparity.
- Perform Mail Support tasks, which include daily mail pick-up/delivery to base post office and MCSFBN and SWFLANT facilities, processing incoming/outgoing official mail, processing incoming command-attached service member mail, and ensuring accountable mail is processed, logged, and stored.
- Provide training and prepare mail cards for service members in accordance with the MCSFBN mail operations instruction, maintain the MCSFBN mail directory and MOL database, and forward/hold service member mail based on transfer orders.
Historically, the Education Services Support Assistant has performed the following daily actions:
- Mail Run/Pickup Courier Packages.
- Battalion Mail Room Inspection.
- Sort Mail/Packages.
- Issue mail and packages.
- Prepare and update advancement Worksheets.
- Receive and maintain custody of advancement examinations.
- Verify Advancement Eligibility Listing (AEL).
- Prepare Examination Site.
- Conduct and Proctor Advancement Examinations.
- Marine Online - Gain and detach Sailors from MOL database.
Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours 0900 to 1630 or as established by the RA. The facility is closed during local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.
Place of Performance: The primary work location will be within Government facilities Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Georgia.
Travel: The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of this contract.
