Nemean Solutions, LLC is looking for a Warehouse Technician

This position will provide inventory management and storage management support to the Supply Office. This warehouse technician will support the daily operation of the Individual Combat Equipment (ICE) issue point, which includes the inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehousing of all ICE and any other such security equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities / Actions:

  1. Provide a monthly warehouse and supply status report to the Supply Officer.
  2. Provide inventory management support of ICE assigned to the MCSFBN.
  3. Investigate minor property issues and conduct inventories as directed by Marine Command Security Force Battalion (MCSFBN) Supply leadership.
  4. Utilize best business practices to maintain accurate and timely inventory management.
  5. Conduct and document weekly inventory spot checks and report results to the Supply Office.
  6. Establish reorder levels for all assigned line items sufficient to support the lead time of replacement equipment, and the reporting of all line items approaching reorder point utilizing established reporting formats.
  7. Process shipping paperwork and maintain required historical voucher file of all receipts and shipments.
  8. Conduct scheduled periodic property inventories.
  9. Provide shipping and receiving support for the contracted Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense equipment.
  10. Receive/log in/forward results of CBRN mask fit testing to the contracted CBRN facility for Naval personnel during check-in.
  11. Receive and distribute CBRN kits issued by the contracted CBRN facility to Naval personnel.
  12. Receive/pack/ship CBRN kits received by Naval personnel during the check-out process.
  13. Pick up and deliver material for shipping and receiving.
  14. Perform daily pick-up and delivery of all supply materiel from base reception point(s), process receipt paperwork, and notify the Supply Office.
  15. Pick up materials from the Strategic Weapons System Supply Warehouse at Kings Bay and other local vendors daily and deliver material to MCSFBN facilities and watch stations approximately daily.
  16. Provide engraving support using the Government furnished computer-aided engraving machine.
  17. Receive and log requests for engraving signs/nametags/plates using various metal and plastic materials for official command use.

Historically, the Warehouse Technician has performed the following daily actions:

  • Conduct inventories quarterly IAW Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Directives.
  • Provide engraving services.
  • Tag material for the Property Control of minor property.
  • Provide outfitting of facilities and watch stations.
  • Receive, pack, and ship Chemical Biological Radiological (CBR) bags back to manufacturer for repair/reutilization of used Gas Masks.
  • Assist with command Minor Property issues and semi-annual inventory.
  • Research information on Supply Request Forms for accuracy and completion, then perform market research for items prior to processing for procurement.
  • Perform spot inventories for inventory of storeroom material.
  • Pick up and deliver material to different departments from the warehouse.
  • Pick up supplies/parts from local vendors in local area.

Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours 0900 to 1630 or as established by the RA. The facility is closed during local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings.

Place of Performance: The primary work location will be within Government facilities Naval Submarine Base in Kings Bay, Georgia.

Travel: The applicant may be required to travel to other locations within CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of this contract.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:

High School Graduate or GED equivalent.

12 months' experience in military warehouse operations.

Valid Driver's License.

Ability to obtain and maintain material handling equipment (forklift) license to include DOT medical exam.

Physical Efforts Required and Working Conditions: Senior Warehouse Technician responsibilities will require standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Work involves bending, stooping, and working in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. It may be required to lift and carry items that weigh up to 45 pounds as part of the regular work effort. (The heavier items are moved with material handling equipment or with assistance from other workers). Work is conducted inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lit. Personnel may be regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injury from falling stock or mechanized conveyor systems and may be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, solvents, and high noise levels in working areas. When working in hazardous material areas, the Senior Warehouse Technician may be exposed to radiation, toxins, explosive hazards, or chemical fumes. This work requires wearing Contractor-provided personal protective equipment/clothing such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, and rubber aprons.
