As a Material Flow Leader, you will be responsible for complete accountability of material from warehousing to delivery to the line, movement throughout operations, and ensuring finished goods are delivered to shipping in a timely manner. This is a 1st shift opportunity from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM*.

*1st shift hours will be changing on 7/7/2025 to 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

You Will:

  • Ensure proper material is picked, transferred to buffer carts, and delivered to the line in sequence with the schedule
  • Work closely with scheduling and operations leaders to ensure scheduling attainment
  • Ensure materials delivered to the line are ready to use and have been de-trashed
  • Manage the material warehouse; ensures receiving/water spider associates are putting material in the correct location
  • Ensure proper training of associates across all areas of responsibilities
  • Participate in the daily Tier 1 SQDC discussions
  • Identify and communicate known and potential material shortages to the appropriate activity
  • Lead a culture of safety compliance, especially as it pertains to material handling equipment
  • Train and lead material handlers in discrete workstreams such as accountability, inventory control or loading activities
  • Manage data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision making
  • Establish and model quality control mechanisms
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Manage the internal flow of material to support production requirements
  • Participate in physical inventory audits, cycle counts, etc. to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Develop and implement material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with certifications, safety guidelines and OSHA requirements
  • Collaborate with Purchasing in case of potential stockout situations
  • Maintain and update all Standard Operating Procedures for department
  • Complete industrial lift truck certifications for associates and ensure any and all applicable safety training is accomplished and documented
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Understand and engage in department metrics
  • Delegate daily job responsibilities
  • Be proficient in applicable computer programs

You Have:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • 5 - 8 years of Manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with procedures, products, crating and material handling methods.
  • At least one (1) year of forklift experience.
  • Must be certified/licensed for powered industrial vehicles used in the department and meet all skills training required.
  • Supervisor or Lead experience of at least 1-3 years preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be comfortable with heights as this position requires picking product from high racks in the warehouse.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
