We're actively seeking a talented Senior Paralegal I to join our legal team in Newport Beach, CA. This role will work closely with a team of legal professionals within the Office of the General Counsel focused on private debt and project finance investment transactions.

As a Sr Paralegal you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by collaborating closely with attorneys and internal clients.You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of people in the OGC division.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Collaborate with in-house attorneys, credit analysts, investment operations and outside counsel on all aspects of the investment transaction execution process.

  • Review and analyze investment-related agreements, including non-disclosure agreements.

  • Prepare schedules to investment-related agreements, closing certificates and responses to due diligence and Know Your Customer requests.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis regarding investment-related legal and regulatory developments.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for transaction execution and document management.

The experience you bring:

  • 5+ years relevant experience at a law firm or financial services organization.

  • 4-year degree and paralegal certification from an accredited institution.

  • Experience facilitating transaction closings and reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work streams effectively to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What makes you stand out:

  • Paralegal certificate preferred

  • Experience working on transactions, M & A, corporate finance, etc

  • Technical knowledge, including Office 365 applications, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams for email, calendar, and task management with experience in using these tools for efficient communication, document management, and collaboration -- as well as the ability to streamline existing processes and improve efficiency using these tools.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$100,530.00 - $122,870.00
