Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data Strategy and Governance: Develop and enforce data management policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
• Data Architecture Design: Create and maintain a comprehensive data architecture framework that supports business objectives and aligns with industry standards
• Data Integration: Oversee the integration of various data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across systems
• Data Quality Management: Implement processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality, accuracy, and completeness
• Data Security: Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements, including data privacy and protection measures
• Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external partners to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend data management technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance data capabilities and support business growth
• Project Management: Lead data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with business goals
• Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of data from on-premises environments to cloud-based data architectures, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving data architecture practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry
• Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, database design, ETL and ELT processes, and data warehousing
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, with a deep understanding of industry-specific data challenges and requirements preferred
• Hands-on experience with data management, data transformation, and process orchestration tools
