We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our dynamic team at Diamondback. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's data architecture, ensuring the efficient and effective use of data across all business functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Strategy and Governance: Develop and enforce data management policies, standards, and best practices across the organization
- Data Architecture Design: Create and maintain a comprehensive data architecture framework that supports business objectives and aligns with industry standards
- Data Integration: Oversee the integration of various data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency across systems
- Data Quality Management: Implement processes and tools to monitor and improve data quality, accuracy, and completeness
- Data Security: Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements, including data privacy and protection measures
- Collaboration: Work closely with business units, IT teams, and external partners to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend data management technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance data capabilities and support business growth
- Project Management: Lead data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and alignment with business goals
- Cloud Migration: Lead the migration of data from on-premises environments to cloud-based data architectures, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving data architecture practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum of ten (10+) years of experience in data architecture, data management, or related roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, database design, ETL and ELT processes, and data warehousing
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, with a deep understanding of industry-specific data challenges and requirements preferred
- Hands-on experience with data management, data transformation, and process orchestration tools
