Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Ensure the efficient operation, security, and performance of Tableau Server, supporting the needs of our business intelligence teams and ensuring reliable access to critical published content and resources Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server Monitor Tableau Server performance and ensure high availability Manage user permissions, data security, and governance Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau Server issues Implement best practices for server management, including backup and disaster recovery Collaborate with IT and BI teams to integrate Tableau Server with other data systems Provide training and support to Tableau users Requirements: Proven experience as a Tableau Server Administrator or Architect Strong knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and administration Experience with server performance tuning and troubleshooting Understanding of network security and data governance principles Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders Desired skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell Experience with standing up and maintaining Tableau Server in Microsoft Azure (cloud), Windows, and Linux Experience with industry BI/Reporting toolsets including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Starburst Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases Experience with Data Science integration and application (Python, R) Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS, Starburst) Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript) Experience with Financial services data and large data volumes Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
