What We DoThe Manager of Product Engineering will provide leadership to Functional Analysts, Business Systems Analysts and Data Analysts who have responsibility for delivering product outcomes in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) agile environment. You will be an active participant in our continuous learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued. In this hybrid remote role, quarterly travel to our headquarters location is required with a potential for additional visits as business needs arise.

Essential Functions

  • Provide talent development, coaching and mentoring for technical team members of varied disciplines who have responsibility for product delivery outcomes.
  • Support department and division goals for increasing SAFe maturity with a primary focus on the expectations for the Agile Team members.
  • Support and empower self-organized Agile Teams.
  • Work within a matrixed organization structure to support talented people who work on Agile Teams that are responsible for providing:
    • Technical and implementation focus, providing standard and customized applications to resolve escalated and/or complex business needs/issues.
    • Delivery of desired business outcomes in varied value-driven scope areas.
    • Analysis and delivery of SaaS, PaaS and internally developed software functionality including cross-team integrations, design, documentation, testing and training.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to team members on blocked activities which may include facilitating problem resolution between teams or individuals.
  • Participate in Agile Release Train routines and activities to stay attuned to team progress and blockers.
  • Participate in developing and delivering upon mid to long range department continuous improvement goals.
  • Assist in translating strategic goals and priorities into technical strategies and objectives.
  • Introduce and support best practices to help ensure the timeliness, quality and consistency of the department's delivery of products and services.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to employees based upon feedback from across the division.
  • Assist with promotion recommendations and decisions.
  • Assist with hiring recommendations and decisions.
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining job descriptions.
  • Regularly interact with technology and business leaders throughout the division for purposes of gaining cooperation, exchanging technical information, assisting with operational issues and/or addressing delivery related concerns.
  • May lead cooperative inter-department projects and/or process improvement efforts.
  • Participate in the creation and/or maintenance of relevant business processes, training procedures, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • May occasionally be required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.

General Qualifications

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience supporting in-house developed and SaaS/PaaS hosted applications
  • General knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management concepts
  • Ability to generate effective visualizations of support-related data to drive decisions and outcomes
  • Ability to convey complex business and technical information in a concise manner
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, processes, and policies of a business area
  • Foundational knowledge on Scaled Agile Framework. Extensive experience leading in a SAFe environment is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 products (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams)
  • Skilled at communicating effectively with remote collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, chat and video conferencing)
  • Craves knowledge and enjoys learning new skills
  • Enjoys planning, organizing, and coordinating activities within a team
  • Enjoys collaborating with team members, sharing skills, and learning from others

  • Provides others with reliable information, creates and delivers accurate reports and presentations as needed. Uses good listening skills. Negotiates effectively

Education and Experience

  • Requires Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline, business or related field. MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience working as a technical business systems analyst or similar role
  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial or consumer banking technology roles
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, leading technology analysis practices and resources

The pay range for this role is $145,600.00 - $193,350.00

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
