Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist in New York City, NY. This is an onsite role.

The salary range for this role is between $58,000 to $68,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. All applicants must have valid work authorization.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience in Desktop Support - Remote. The ideal candidate will provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems in a hybrid work model. This role requires an initiative-taking individual who can troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently contributing to the overall productivity and success of the team.

Responsibilities

* Provide remote desktop support to ensure the smooth operation of desktop systems.

* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems and applications.

* Collaborate with team members to identify and implement solutions for technical problems.

* Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality of desktop systems.

* Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.

* Assist in the installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT support.

* Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of desktop systems and applications.

* Participate in the development and implementation of IT support processes and procedures.

* Conduct regular system maintenance and updates to ensure security and performance.

* Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with other company systems.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support services.

* Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in desktop support and IT services.

Qualifications

* Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in remote desktop support.

* Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

* Have experience in the installation and configuration of desktop hardware and software.

* Show proficiency in monitoring and maintaining system performance.

* Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Have a good understanding of IT support processes and procedures.

* Experience in the media domain is a plus.

* Ability to provide training and guidance to end-users.

* Stay updated with the latest trends in desktop support and IT services.

* Demonstrate the ability to work in a hybrid work model.

* Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support services.

* Possess an initiative-taking and customer-focused approach to IT support.
