This strong immunologic foundation serves as the basis for our active development of cell and biologic therapeutics, including chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cells and T-cell and antigen bispecifics (TCABs). We are further currently modeling cutting-edge neurosurgical therapies ("bedside to bench") alongside colleagues in biomedical engineering and veterinary medicine. Our team is comprised of a unique mix of scientists, clinicians, and students working to improve the care of patients with brain tumors. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research
- Collaborate with other physicians-scientists and scientists both within and outside of the Department
- Develop novel therapeutics (including CAR-T cells, bispecific T cell engagers, checkpoint inhibition strategies, and other immunotherapeutic modalities or adjuncts)
- Research mentorship (graduate/medical students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, fellows, and research staff)
- Obtain extramural support for studies involving the study of neuro-oncology, tumor immunology, and/or neuroinflammation.
