Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

Summary:

The Sales and Operations Planning Sr. Specialist helps with the growth of the business and support with the planning and executing of new contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Bid Board Manager (40% capacity)
  • Preparing customer proposals, request for information responses and other new business requirement needs.
  • Product capability development project ownership
  • Step function product improvements (GCA product offering package, billing cycle updates, high value product playbook)
  • Leading and overseeing the operational workload of a team of project coordinators, engineers, and subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining project schedules, financial forecasts and action plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project performance using KPIs, providing early identification of performance issues.
  • Provide regular status updates and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring team performance regularly and taking corrective action as required to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from the plan.
  • Run Start Up meetings, daily stand-ups, monthly project reviews, Contract Status Reviews (CSR's) and Lifecycle Gate reviews with team ensuring full involvement and support of all service providers, stakeholders and independents as required.
  • Conduct financial analysis and coordination for program specific activities.
  • Identify potential risks associated which could impact project delivery and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project setbacks and maintain project resilience.
  • Carrying out root cause analysis to examine all problems/opportunities in detail and ensure improvements are integrated into all relevant work processes/methods.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Lead post-project assessments to capture lessons learned and improve processes for future projects.
  • Support the orchestration and structure of the S&OP
  • Product Team material development (strategy decks, KPI tracking, team meetings/agendas, etc)
  • Continuous Improvement Team project liaison - how are we driving / advocating / launching cont improvement?
  • Integration for process consistency and efficiency
  • Project manager for process improvements
  • Documentation and coordination across products

Pay Range:

$70,000 - $80,000

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
