The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Biomedical Repair Technician (BMET) to provide research support administration services for our government customer in San Antonio, TX.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving and accounting for the equipment

  • Inventory and technical inspection of equipment

  • Scheduled maintenance and servicing of equipment

  • Effecting repairs on unserviceable equipment

  • Prepare unserviceable equipment for evacuation

  • Conducting procurement actions for repair parts/consumables and tools/equipment operations.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Successful completion of the DoD Biomedical Equipment Technician program or an associate's degree in biomedical electronics technology from an accredited institution and be a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • One year experience in repair and maintenance of dental products and equipment related to research.

  • Ability to install, maintain, service, modify, troubleshoot and calibrate a variety of environmental compliance devices by interpreting engineering and vendor information, schematic diagrams and graphic illustrations..

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
