Overview

The Research team is looking for a Scientist who will be an active participant in a vibrant, multidisciplinary drug discovery team and will use novel, innovative tools and technologies for investigating genetically validated targets amenable to targeting using RNAi Therapeutics.

This position is onsite and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct investigative research on RNAi therapeutics in the CNS as well as extrahepatic space, evaluating siRNA delivery to various cell lines in vitro, including both immortalized and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines.
* Develop and execute assays to characterize the uptake kinetics and pharmacodynamics of conjugated siRNAs using molecular, biochemical, and high-content fluorescent microscopy techniques.
* Design, lead, and perform in vivo rodent studies to assess the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of extrahepatic targeting siRNA.
* Continuously learn and apply new techniques to support both in vitro and in vivo studies related to pipeline targets and siRNA platform advancements.
* Maintain accurate data records, conduct thorough data analysis, and prepare well-documented experimental reports in a timely manner.
* Effectively communicate research findings and updates to key stakeholders across the organization.
* Responsible for data entry, data analysis in a timely manner, and preparation of clearly articulated experimental reports.

Qualifications

* Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, including maintenance, transfection, and stable selection, as well as molecular biology techniques for RNA/DNA/protein quantification (qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunoprecipitations).
* Experience in rodent handling, dosing (SubQ/IV), and blood/tissue collection and necropsy.
* Experience with human iPSC culture and differentiation.
* Prior experience conducting and interpreting in vivo rodent studies.
* Strong laboratory skills with the ability to work independently.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
