Performs core analyst functions to aid the Hospital's ISD Department in designing and delivering software solutions to the Hospital community.

The IT Analyst II will be responsible for :

  • Gathering functional requirements for software systems and generating applicable documentation, including Project Charters, Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and use cases.
  • Interacting with hospital end-user groups, both clinical and non-clinical, and conducting analysis sessions. Implementing innovative workflow analysis and requirement-gathering techniques to capture precise specifications from dynamic user groups.
  • Creating wireframes, screen mockups, and semi-functional prototypes to assist end users in designing systems and evaluating various proposed solution designs.
  • Collaborating with the Quality Assurance group to develop appropriate test plans, test cases, and requirement coverage matrices.
  • Performing additional tasks and projects as requested, including procedural documentation, feasibility studies, participation in quality and operational improvement processes, and engaging in general IT innovation initiatives.
  • Participating in Information Analysis, Data Analysis, as well as Object-Oriented Analysis and Object-Oriented Design in collaboration with IT resources.
  • Providing support to end users and participating in the team's support procedures on a 24/7 basis.

To qualify, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree is required in the field of Computer Science, Human Factors or a closely related computer or business analyst field
  • 3 years related experience is required
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
  • Strong communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions; and work requires well-developed writing skills.
