Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Life Sales team as anAssociate Regional Vice President!

About the role

As an Associate Regional Vice President, you will grow and drive sales related activities of Symetra' s Individual Life division. You will generate sales in a specifically assigned territory by phone, email, virtual, and in person meetings. You will foster and grow relationships throughout the territory and educate and advocate for Symetra's products and processes.

What you will do




  • Work in tandem with the RVP, work as a point of contact for assigned territory with frequent interaction that include growing and developing targeted growth firms as well as internal stakeholders in order to meet territory sales targets
  • Partner with internal and external wholesalers to drive territory sales by assisting with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature.
  • Provide calling campaign assistance--launch new products and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Travel a minimum 3 weeks each month or 75%.
  • Partner with team members to accomplish department and company related initiatives and goals.
  • Make extensive outbound sales calls to financial advisors to broaden awareness to our products.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals by selling to financial advisors. BGAs, Sales VPs.
  • Maintain sales team relationships through agreed-upon, scheduled call rotations.
  • Educate clients with thought leadership offered by Symetra. This comes by way of conference calls, direct phone calls andvirtual meetings.
  • strengthen Symetra's value proposition to distributors and financial advisors.

Compensation

$65,000 Annual Base Pay plus eligibility for incentive compensation

Who you are



  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience
  • Life and Disability insurance license required
  • At least 4 years experience in life insurance sales work
  • Experience in sales, financial services and insurance required
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Effective at building relationships that generate results
  • 75% travel required
