Job Overview

Assist in all activities of the Office of Contract Compliance and support the university's compliance policy and guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Collect and maintain prevailing union wage rate payroll reporting compliance reviews to ascertain whether contractors are complying with the provisions of their contracts.
  • Assist and ensure compliance with the State of Ohio Wage & Hour Division by investigating complaints alleging payroll performance issues with those vendors maintaining contracts with the University of Cincinnati.
  • Assist in the development of annual term contracts of high-dollar volume.
  • Perform ad hoc purchasing as delegated by Buyer.
  • Prepare analysis of market opportunities and make recommendations to Buyer.
  • Monitor contract pricing posted in system to assure alignment with university contracts.
  • Assist with the compliance review of all grants awarded to the university.
  • Assist with providing training and guidance to university units on the importance of compliance to university purchasing standards, procurement ethics, and risk mitigation; train and inform suppliers about opportunities and how to compete for business at the university.
  • Keep abreast of current contract compliance guidelines.
  • Represent the university in supplier outreach and other internal and external efforts.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience with sponsored research procurement.
  • Experience in positions requiring high attention to detail.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
