Job Description
Terracon's Fargo office is seeking a Geologist or Engineer to join our team as an Environmental Project Manager! This position is for an experienced professional to assist in the planning, scheduling and execution of environmental projects varying in size and complexity. As a Project Manager, oversee monitoring and testing of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater, generate subsurface maps and cross-sections; evaluate and interpret subsurface field and sampling data; develop conclusions, and prepare reports concerning the environmental and geologic site conditions. Remote opportunity is available for qualified candidates.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of small to medium sized projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Prepare scopes of work for routine site investigations to assess soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and indoor air from a hydrogeological, geological, or environmental perspective. May assist more senior level project managers on large, more complex projects.
  • Develop, plan, schedule, and implement technical scopes of work related to environmental site assessments, risk based corrective actions, and remediation designs/implementation with minimal oversight.
  • Work with senior project managers to identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project.
  • Work as part of a local team in Fargo, as well as within regional and national teams for various national account clients.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend or resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Lead safety efforts for your team to promote Terracon's Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture, ensuring everyone works safely. Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
  • Promote continuous quality and improvement on projects.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline practices by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and a minimum of 5 years' related experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Certification:
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed
