About the team

FIS Trading and Assets Services business provides mission-critical software and services to institutions in virtually every segment of the asset management industry worldwide. Within the Capital Markets division, our team members located across the globe, focus on supporting industry participants across the liquidity spectrum who are invested in private equity, hedge funds and traditional assets. Our solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users with our core accounting, transfer agency, reconciliation, workflow processing and a range of data services in the back office as well as portfolio support, data analytics and digital channel solutions in the front office.

As part of Trading and Asset Services, our Data Services product line offers data collection, data validation and distribution capabilities and services to facilitate end to end automation around processing corporate actions, pricing, and reconciliations to mitigate risk, provide transparency and control, improve operational efficiency, and increase return on investment for our customers and stakeholders.

What you will be doing

We are continuously investing in development of FIS Corporate Actions Suite 6. Your role would be to accelerate delivery and launch of the new platform. You would join Solutions Management team and work with the Product Development team to write the user stories, manage the backlog, communicate with stakeholders, and prioritize sprint deliverables. You would play an active role in the successful launch of a new product. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Working closely with a globally dispersed development team to execute the product roadmap and build a class leading Corporate Actions Management solution.
  • Understands product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.
  • Works with stakeholders to understand business problem statements and convert them into user stories.
  • Owning the place between development and the client
  • Working in an Agile software development team
  • Managing the backlog of user stories for one or more products.
  • Establishing user story acceptance criteria, accepting user stories, refining stories with Scrum teams, demonstrating sprint deliveries.
  • Articulating product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to development teams.
  • Leading planning, grooming and review meetings with Scrum team. Communicating feedback on development achievements.
  • Applying Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
  • Monitoring the development progress and provides updates to stakeholders, as requested.
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering/Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contacts
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, working with development teams.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, management, analytical and people skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, conflict management and time management skills
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks

Added bonus if you have:

  • The Certified Scrum Product Owner professional certification.
  • Knowledge of Financial services industry
  • Knowledge of FIS products and services or similar Fintech solutions
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and systems development environment experience
