Title: Food Service Worker/Dietary Aid/Busser Duration: Long Term contract Pay Rate: $16/hr on W2 without benefits Location: Kansas City MO, 64108 Work hours: Tuesday - Saturday: 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday: 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Job Description: The provided Food Service Workers will prepare and cook complex menu items under general supervision, assist in supervising the cleaning of kitchen and food-serving areas, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. They will be proficient in large-scale food preparation and service, with the ability to follow recipes, maintain high safety standards, and work in high-temperature environments. This second-level food service position. Will receive general supervision in preparing and cooking more complex menu items. Participate and assists in supervising the cleaning of the kitchen and food serving areas. Knowledge, skills & abilities: Knowledge of standard kitchen procedures and sanitation guidelines. Ability to prepare more complex menu items. Required Qualifications: 1-2 years of work experience. (Substitutions may be allowed). Required Skills: Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in preparing food on a large scale, and the use and care of utensils and equipment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ability to cook large quantities. Ability to read and follow recipes. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. Ability to maintain standards of safety and sanitation. Ability to work with department employees in the preparation and service of food. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work long hours while standing and under conditions of high temperature.
