Description
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled/unscheduled O-Level maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft Egress, Environmental and related systems. Perform flight line essential services as directed to daily Flight Schedule. Routine lifting in excess of OSHA standards is required. Routine ordnance loading will require team lifts of ordnance items up to 167 pounds' load share per team member, in accordance with standard USN procedures.
Shall have authority to direct Level I work center personnel to accomplish specific maintenance actions as required to accomplish maintenance tasking in accordance with Department of Labor Skill Code definitions (responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.) Shall receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
Qualifications:


  • Education

    • High school graduate or equivalent.
    • Personnel must be graduates of approved O-Level training, AME School, manufacturer, or Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit for specific T/M/S egress systems.
    • Shall have completed and able to document the appropriate T/M Navy Egress Class "C" school


  • Experience

    • Shall have minimum five years USN/USMC/USCG O-Level CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) aircraft maintenance support experience.
    • Shall have minimum three years T/M/S aircraft maintenance experience for the specific aircraft hired to maintain.
    • Shall have three years T/M experience within the last seven years.


  • Other Requirements

    • Must be a US Citizen
    • Shall possess or can qualify for a U.S. state driver's license.

      • Aircraft ejection seats
      • Aircraft air conditioning systems
      • Canopy systems
      • Canopy jettison/fracturing systems
      • Fire warning/extinguishing systems
      • Onboard Oxygen Generating Systems repair/troubleshooting
      • Aircraft environmental systems maintenance
      • Aircraft pressurization systems - troubleshoot oxygen systems, repair and test oxygen regulators and Liquid Oxygen (LOX) converters removed from the aircraft
